In this video we teach you how to replace the Simplisafe Motion Sensor Batteries for the Simplisafe Security System.
To replace the batteries you need to slide the device off the wall, remove the existing battery, replace with a fresh CR123 battery and then slide the Simplisafe Motion Sensor back onto the wall.

I have watched 3 times & tried repeatedly; it does not slip out! Please give instruction for those which seem glued in place!

I had the same issue but figured out that if the button is pointing up, push up on the bottom and front of the device while holding the back in place. In other words, if it's mounted with the button facing up as is recommended for most applications, the entire front and bottom will slide up while the back plate stays in place. It takes a little bit of force to overcome the click. If you remove it from the wall, then pressing your thumbs against the mounting tape on the back and then sliding up the front seems to work well.
