It did the same with me when I was using pictures with the wrong format.. Make sure your bmp is 800x480 pixels, and that it is saved in "R5G6B5" format. Very important.

Michael go to Kenwood's website, click on "Support", and then "Car Entertainment". Then click on "Technical & Firmware/Software downloads".. You should be able to find the DNX6190HD update file and instructions without too much trouble. This is the method I used to successfully update my firmware. Hope it works out for you!

Eduardo, try unplugging the antenna from the back, and then tuning to FM. If it still has a fault it sounds like a bad radio. If it doesn't have a fault you may have a short in the wire...

The USB Port comes as part of the receiver, so you do have one but it may still be tucked behind the radio. All you will need to do is pull off the dash and find it! Did your installer put in an iPod / iPhone cable? If he did, this cable plugs into that USB port. All you will need to do is unplug it to use the USB Port.

This works for DNX570HD BTW. Just make sure the USB drive is formatted in FAT32, not NTFS.

When you connect your phone via Bluetooth, you need a 4 digit code to connect the devices. That setting is probably to change the code to your preference..

Sounds like a malfunction.. The clock is atomic and should set itself - I'm not aware of any option to set the clock on or off.. Check your manual though.

I have had no luck finding specific instructions for the ddx372bt, but had hope when found this. Doesn't work, unfortunately. It just resets the unit's tuner data and a couple other settings. I held the buttons down the entire time (except reset which I just tapped).

I think I know what needs to be done but am lacking the tool to do it. There is an Opening_ddx.bin file and a settings file that need to be created by a tool Kenwood makes that is only available to dealers. The tool is not found online for consumers. Anyway, if I have that all I'd have to do is run the custom opening updater in the hidden menu I found by holding tel+eject+menu (releasing menu when the LED changes white).

Hey TheVoiceOfReason, any luck with finding this elusive tool? On the DDX6015BT, you press 2, FF, 3 on the remote control and you get to the hidden menu.

Tried this on my DNX5260BT - didn't work, instead of a screen to select the image I had a blue screen with an OK in the middle, that's it.

@mrericzx10r Try out GIMP. i just did it and it worked like a charm. Open the picture and make sure the resolution is correct. Then go to file, export, select bmp as the file format, then click export, then click advanced options, then make the correct 16bit selection, click ok, then paste that file in your usb drive main directory

Sultan, I'm not sure if you have a USB input or not. Your radio is a much older model, so I'm not sure if it even has this functionality...
