Usually you would just create a new layer and get rid of the old one if you don't want to use it anymore

This solved a really dumb issue with me, I was building a fantasy map but I couldn't seem to set the layer color properly, never occured to me to just say eff it and use the bucket. Epiphany.

(I'm completely new to this type of stuff) There's this thing I need help doing, I'm using Krita to edit an image, I figured out how to colorize or actually I'm not sure what I did 😅but the picture I took from my camera now has a green layer like putting a green square of glass onto a portrait, now I want to make one side of this photo more greener taking away visibility from the picture so I can place text that'll be more visible.
