This will reset the program files and you can try the tool again.

@ yes of course. what did the trick for me was downloading a ~ 5GB archive which included the localization.txt in english + alle the regarding contentfiles. Finding this file was kinda easy just by using google searching for this "Language Pack (English) COD4" ;-)

@@EasyTutorialsContent Of course. And i did found a working solution on top of that. But as it may seems, you did not like the hint i posted with my last answer. I wonder why? First of all i like the approach you are taking with that video. But software does change, so solutions have to do as well. And it seems your way is not working anymoure for the Steam Version. So why deleting a comment which was just pointing in the rough direction of something what would do the trick? As im looking through the other comments it dawns to me, that your fix was only ment to be for the multiplayer version, and only audio. correct me if im wrong. What about the Game UI, it wont change with your solution. And the Single Player, especially Campaign does not get touched at all

The full version is only Multiplayer so I don’t think the lite will do Singleplayer too but you can try.

Hello, try these steps that should fix it: 1- right click at speaker icon at system tray (typically bottom right of screen), and select "open sound settings". 2- click on "sound control panel" at right side of that page and select your audio device being used in CoD4 (at "playback" tab). 3- there hit "properties" and go to "advanced" tab. select 24 bit - (either 44100 or 48000 Hz) from the list and click "OK" to complete the process.

@@EasyTutorialsContent broo i found it, there's two folders at play here "zone" and "main" delete the entries with 'localized_russian' it'll be 4-5 entries in the main folder, after deleting them, simply rename the text to english, example -'localized_english_iw00.iwd The second thing is, simply delete the zone folder ( containing russian folder) then download the english version of zone, after simply replacing that zone folder with English the last thing is renaming the text as "russian" even though it contains english, for some reason renaming anything other than russian fails the whole procedure, that's it, the whole game is now in english!

I tried to play the game without steam but that wasn't working so I downloaded a pirate version of the game and copied some of my stuff over to it and it worked, but it's all in Russian now, I only had the normal game
