Helpful easy concise info! 👍. I changed it used this vid and everything went well on my 06 Toya Avalon only thing diff is it uses a disposable paper filter, directions worked and I did it! Thank you. And your response @ not needing to pour oil in new filter makes sense to me too. 👍😃 My regular oil vhange olace used yo charge $45. A fly by night off-brand oil change place quoted me $90. So I decided yo do it myself and splurge in highest quality oil and filter. Filter says it protects for 20k miles (32000km). Not sure I should trust that. 😂 😂😂

2004 Camry 2.4L uses regular oil, not synthetic. Scotty Kilmer on youtube warns not to switch from refular oil to synthetic cuz it will start smoking at startups

I just had that problem,but google says 0w-20 synthetic is fine for 2004 camry...?

@@hell5457 thats thinner than what the right oil, plus your car is 20 years old. the 0w20 is probably for new camrys. Drain that 0w20 if u already put it and put the right 5w30 motor oil(non synthetic). ALWAYS PUT THE OILS AND FLUID THAT YOU MANUAL SAYS! ! !

@@svetlo17 thank you, i didn't put any 0w-20. I used synthetic 5w-30, and put a couple of oil additive-treatment to stabilize it and it seems to be working, the acceleration is back to normal, no smoking & no overheating. What about 0w-30 or 5w-20? Other ppl say it's fine, what do you think? And how many miles should i change after each interval (oci)?

Can I put oil in the oil filter before installing it you it doesn’t run dry? And after putting oil in the filter how much would I need to put in the engine

I wouldn’t recommend putting oil into the filter first. It’s an unnecessary step that’s just going to make your install harder and messier.

Is it the same for my 3.3L V6 To also note it was made in Japan and shipped to the US I know there isn't that much of a difference but when I replaced a hose thing mine were I think smaller than the American counterpart

Should be 4 qts of 5w30, and the steps will be the same.

A good way to check is before you do the drain, make sure you check the level on the dipstick. The distance between the lower and upper dot is 1 quart. After you drain the oil pan and filter pour the oil into an old 5 quart oil container. It has markings on the side and you can see how much came out. If the oil was at the upper dot when you started, with the 2004 4 cylinder camry you should see 4 quarts of old oil come out.
