Truly believe John Deere has been making most there profits in part sales for the last 20-30 years I had a JD sickle style mower conditioner it was new then my friends New Holland and my neighbor had old international they both did more cutting than me and I had more breakdowns. 100 bucks for a Shear Hub I'm surprised the engineers didn't make it a little heavier and little more complex to charge you $200 to $300 that's what you usually spend when you visit the JD stealership.

John Deere Usually Handles sound equipment but When it came time for us to purchase Hay Equip, our first mower was sold by The J.D. dealer was A kuhn.... we kept it one year, sold it and bought a Krone 320 Easy Cut,,,,, WE presently have 3 mounted on KMC 4760 Caddies.... We average about 600 to 800 acres a year,,,, During the last 6 years of use we have yet to replace any roll pins in the cutter-bar protection system...... Our Variety of Hay has thin stems and slender leaves, so not much drying time is gained by conditioning....

How do you like the flails as compared to rollers?

We like the flails. It can be hard on alfalfa though.
