The set on the controller is to set up the transmitter like reversing steering or binding to a receiver. Most people won't have to mess with it.

It sounds like your control's got reversed somehow, there are videos from traxxas of how to reverse the channels if you are having that issue.

@@OverBudgetRC hey brother, so today I ran the teton with the brushless system I told u against the Stampede during lunch. I believe I was running faster than the Stampede so I hit the rear tire of the Stampede full speed. And my little teton fly so high. I did broke some thing on it. And a tire came out of the rim. Lol it was fun while it lasted.
