What a clear and concise tutorial! 😊 Thanks to your video, I just changed the strings on my new string-through bridge concert ukulele (having a slotted headstock, no less), using ball ends from my discarded guitar strings, and making your figure 8 knot. First time I ever changed uke strings at all!! It worked like a charm, and the job looks professional. I can’t believe I did it myself! Thank you so much!! 🎉🥳

Nicely done , especially the tip about winding the string around the tuners.

Thank you. I've had my string break at the knot inside on my A string (skinny brown Worth) twice, using small beads, while restringing my tenor uke. I'll try this fogure 8 knot as I was using a double elemantary knot. This makes me hate to switch strings. (I've done it twice before with no prblems)

@@theguitargarden Time for restring again... actually the fig 8 did NOT work for the A string using skinny brown worths. IMO the knot makes the string touch the bridge which put the tension directly to the string vs tying the knot behind the bead so only the bead touches the wood. So I'm guessing which knot to use again since I forgot which knot I used...LOL.
