Man thanks, this really helped. I have the same issue and I was wondering if I could do it myself. I called 2 shops and they Bothe said I would have to take the cover off. You just proved them wrong. I am going to do it myself. You made it look really easy.

Yea especially for us, always seems to take twice as long as it should, but got lucky with this one 🤙🏻🤙🏻

Started having trouble shifting from 3rd to 4th. Was ready for a oil change and did that but the shift fork could be an issue also. Looks like the shift shaft has a little play in it as you were taking the linkage off but was wondering how much play is too much? If you know. About to go for a ride to see if the oil change helped but not sure yet.

I honestly don’t remember how much play was before I change the seal, have a new bike now and no problems (knock out n wood) so far

What size socket did you use to tap it back in

Just one big enough to cover the seal itself

I changed my seal n still leaking i have a victory octane I know not the same bike but. ant find any info on this subject

Still leaking from the same spot?? I’m not completely sure but there may be another seal on the inside of the case, may want to look into that. Sorry I can’t more assistance to you

That seal was partially out all ready probably why it was leaking.
