I like the UK system, it is the same as motorcycles, it makes it easier by having front brake on the right same as motorcycles.

Front brakes are the norm .... i will a bike that has a front brake working... never the rear one... actually I never bother with rear brakes as long as the front brake is perfect. 😊
@VanlifePhotographyGear3 ай бұрын
You need the rear it's the control brake. Could save you having a washout

Would the same apply to hydraulic disc brakes or would the fluid in the reservoir leak (as upside down now) over time, thanks?

@VanlifePhotographyGear Жыл бұрын
sorry i am not sure
@krissk7710 ай бұрын
Used to wonder... why... the good thing I am comfortable using whichever side its put. On a new bike I always confirm before riding. But fo my road bikes all front brakes must be on the left..gotten used to it. MTB the opposite.

Brake side explanation. All motor bikes have the front brakes on the right side worldwide. All road bikes and mountain bikes have the same arrangement. It seems E bike manufacturers are not cyclists, it is dangerous to have them any other way from universal configurations. Most serious motor bike riders and racers never use the rear brake we do all the braking with the front brake.
@VanlifePhotographyGear Жыл бұрын
tell me about it??
@krissk7710 ай бұрын
I never use rear brake... I always make sure my fron brakes are ok...if not I won't take the bike.
@VanlifePhotographyGear3 ай бұрын
Crazy. Your rear brake is your contol brake the front should not be only brake
