“Black has five pieces and six of them are pinned.” Yogi Berra-esque quote

The Jaychard game is incredible to me. I don't think I've ever seen a 21st century game that reminded me so much of Morphy-NN.

Exactly! What a game!

Evans Gambit for the fireworks. Every time I try to get it on the board as white ...3. Nf6, ...3 d6 or 3...h6 makes me sad. ..3.Bc5 for the thrills.

Good Lord that first game was insane.

And by the way I completely changed my style about a year ago, almost certainly primarily due to your channel with more Morphy style Danish/King's Gambit type of stuff and I'm having way more fun than ever playing this game. So thank you for that!

The Jaychard game was really aesthetically pleasing, what a game. Who cares what the engine thinks, that was a 99.9% perfect game by white.

I love to channel my inner Morphy but there is a fine line between my inner Morphy and my tilt function

Ah, now I know why suddenly resistance against the Evans is improving

Very nice indeed! Coach, the mic level on your recording settings is a bit low. I noticed this on another video where your Windows update notification sounds were *much* louder than your voice. You can see this if you open just about any other youtube video on another tab and then compare yours to see how low the sound is. I think you have a good enough microphone, but needs a little more volume.

@3:14 I play the Evans and prefer castling after d4. But there are pleanty of 19th century games where they don't castle. Both are fine to play. I just prefer castling because I want a safe king before I destroy black's king side and ability to castle using Qb3 Bc4 battery. But yeah, love this game as it destroys black everywhere on the board.
