how to charge battery for Honda CTX 1300

How do you get the white prongs from the red tabs of the fairing without breaking the tabs on the black panel covering the battery?

Attach a pigtail to your battery so you can easily attach a trickle charger when the bike is sitting for extended periods. That way you don't have to mess with removing covers; just unplug the pigtail and go. Availability on Amazon for under $5.00.
