This mad late lol but what ever the difference between the highest score and 100 is the amount of points that get added to your score is how the grading curve thing works. For example if I score a 50 and the highest grade is 80 if the teacher curves grades I now have a 70 as a grade. At least that’s how it works in NC.

I actually studied no child left behind this school year because we were talking about how schools were under funded and it was about standardized test not grading on a curve. Those standardized test actually hurt students because they’re expecting every kid in America to learn the same thing even though many of the minorities were coming to schools with problems that they had to worry about at home. So it gave those schools that they went to bad ratings which made them not have the necessary recourses and proper education because many of the “good teachers” wouldn’t want to work there.

They assessed students on a certain things that everyone should have know but that’s impossible because they didn’t take into account outside factors that could hurt a child’s learning, and no child left behind is why everyone has to take standardized test now
