2005 MBZ E320 works turn key position 2 and make sure you are on temperature and then press 3 times the black dial on left and then click arrow on wheel once and then go and turn key position 3 trust me go slow it won’t start the car I think that’s where the confusion is and I got my reading. Other than that great video.

I have a 2005 E320. Same look but this method does not work. Nothing happens when I press the reset button 3 times. However, I can measure oil level if I turn the key to position II (aka ignition, before position III called starting position). It doesn’t tell me how much total oil I have, but it will tell me how many Qts. engine oil I need to add to reach max level. I guess the software is different.

Try pressing the button fast 3 times, the medium, then slower. You may be going too slow or too fast, it takes some practice, and my neighbors car acts differently than mine,

Well I'm not positive but i guess there was some kinda software update cause after fooling around i finally found out how to check mines but it reads and works a lil different and actually tells me how much oil to put in instead of how much you got which is better in my book either way this is a kool feature i just bought a 2003 E320 love it 1 Owner and low miles FLAWLESS CONDITION only thing outs missing the Owners manual so lil things like this i had no clue about wonder what ELSE??? Lol
