Normal working line gsd has short coat , less or no angulation while show line has long coat and angulation. If you are buying or adopting a god for guard or as a pet, go for the working line. The working line has more immunity and a better energy level and you will not have to take care of it much, like daily brushing and grooming as much as a long coat needs.

good attempt and one correction. YOu did not mention the sable color working line GSD. It is the most original working line GSD. Also more angulation was not good for the GSD as it was done for showline GSDs by americans. Yes, the GSDs have some angulation but not as you mentioned. Third is very subjective. If the White GSD is a pure GSD or not. It was actually not. It was later included as a GSD but as per the standard official GSD, whites are not considered as GSD as per official record. Irrespective of all these such as Pure or not pure, as someone mentioned here, all dogs are lovable species. And yes, if you get impure, you ae actually killing the originality of GSDs

3:11 working line gsd has a straight back and the show line gsd has an arch back. The show line breed does suffer from hip problems and many other problems due to this. Working line breeds are the best and tend to be more energetic and smart than the show line ones. And they tend to lead a more healthy life

How to identify a breed gsd? 1. See the pedigree 2. Look for the microchip in its body 3. Coat quality, which should be stock coat because it's the most standardized coat for a gsd 4. The horn-like ears that naturally rise up after a few months being born. However, white marks on paws are absolutely normal for a pure bred gsd. About the angulation - generally, there are two kinds of gsds- working line and showline; on one hand while a showline gsd has a prominent angulation, on the other hand, workingline gsds are straight back animals. If you've a West German bloodline, mostly they're traditional gsds, meaning they've a slight angulation making it a traditional gsd.

U have very limited knowledge of GSDs. Original German Shepherds are bread with straight backs (anyone can google this) It is called as working line and and other one is show line (angulation). Army.and police worldwide use working line GSDs. Straight back GSDs have more characteristics of original GSD, than angular GSDs. In short, whoever wants a German shepherd for protection, military work, guarding, police work etc, then go for straight back German Shepherds
