Think this had happened on my delica 2.8 the injector pump went so put new injector pump on it at a garage and now it sounds rough but it runs fine little bit of black smoke I'm thinking that the timing wasn't set properly

Looking at buying a 2004 L200 with 4d56t engine, so many scare stories about this engine, is it really that bad? Please let me know!

I have just replaced the head and injector, set valves up to factory spec and timed it all correctly and I still have this issue

I have a 2007 L200 2,5 L DID . I have the same problem as the one in this video (poor performance , white/blue smoke , poor idleing) . The problem is that I am from romania and i can't find a garage where to fix this problem . All of the mechanics are lacking professionalism and deliver a poor customer service .

HA! I found this comment to be the same as where I live in USA! Can't find a decent mechnic here anywhere, so started doing my own work on my own vehicles. Mechanics here charge too much per hour, screw around with the time, and still give back a faulty vehicle after paying tons of money. Thanks to this Channel I have learned even more today!

I can relate to this comment as well, and that is exactly why I started to learn to work on my own cars. After several garages couldn't figure out what was wrong with my car and a mechanic scammed me into buying a new engine for my car, only to conclude that it didn't solve the misfire and rough idle issue I was having, and it took me 5 min of online searching to find that it was a common fault with my car, due to moisture getting into the ECU over time from cheap quality plastic being used and the ECU just needed to be replaced, then what do you know, that did the trick, car ran like new on the first start up. Since then I have always done my own research and troubleshooting / issue isolation on my cars and worked on them myself. It saves me money, it saves me time and frustrations and I learn something new every time, and that's not to mention the satisfied feeling after having fixed it myself. Amazing what you can do with basic tools (Screwdrivers, pliers, etc.), socket / spanner set, a jack, jack stands and a code reader.

@@socialghost4400 Research is knowledge providing you understand what to do with it. Many repairers just treat the symptoms....not the cause...so the fault will return. Always find out out why a problem occurres...no such thing as a "shit" engine etc...at least there shouldn't be 😁

I have a 54 plate Shogun Sport 2.5TD and the engine light came on and lost power. Engine it's self runs fine at idle. We Plug the diagnostic machine in and it came up with code 12 Boost any idea if it's the Boost pressure sensor if so where is it located?

Boost sensor is next to the fuel filter

Found the video quite informative , I have an issue with my l200 same as in the video. Gives a code 18 NE SUB. DO you have any idea as to what that might be , engine runs grate for 10-15 min while driving then EML comes on and power goes ,cant rev engine lots of white smoke . if you have any idea as to the fault or solution , I would be in you favour.
