In today's trucking vlog, I'll show you how to check tire pressure using a manometer. One of the most important maintenance tasks for a semi truck is the tire pressure check. Having the right pressure in your truck's tires can save you from a truck tire blowout. As a female truck driver, I'll walk you through the essential maintenance steps. Stay tuned for practical tips!

I am glad you spend quality time with your grandma 🙂 It's very important! Also 130psi in the tyres - no wonder when truck tyres go boom... they really go boom!

Szia Timea, it's nice to see all your videos today. I am living in Holland. The last 26 years I came twice a year to romania. Exactly to Sovata. The most wonderful country on earth, after seeing many countries. I forsee a great future for you in cargo, and believe one day you will have your own truck. Hopefully for you a scania 780 V8. With a 3750 Nm. You are a very professional driver. In June I visit again Sovata and Szikcerada.

Just the other day I completed a nice little setup on the Volvo's air tanks, EXACTLY for that same reason: filling the tires. The Volvo has the same threaded outlet on the air tanks, and I fitted a nice little fitting with the same thread, using a 6mm ID plastic tube, and I attached a quick release connector on the end of it. I also attached male and female quick release connectors on the hose, and now I can just connect and disconect the hose and the tire filler gun with a simple click. The nice thing is that I kept the original female threaded fitting on the hose, so if need be, I can connect to another truck's air line through the threaded fitting, and get some air, OR give air to anyone else. I'd suggest you do the same with your scania, if there is enough space under that hood. QR connectors are much more easier than turning that nut by hand. (Total cost: around 20-25€) Good job 👍👍👍👍👍😎

Hi, isn't 6mm hose very small to inflate tires? I mean, doesn' t it take long timeto inflate? Thanks ❤
@VolvoDriverGR
@VolvoDriverGR 8 ай бұрын
@@anabelamino-wr6rk ....yep, it is, but it is not THAT small so as to take for ever to inflate it. And besides, up until now, I only needed to add air, and not inflate a totaly flat tire. Even when adding air, from around 75psi, it took about 3-4 minutes to rise to 120psi. So I guess that your note is valid. I'd use an 8mm ID tube, but the fitting I had was for 6mm. I didn't have anything for an 8mm ID. But even so, it's not that bad. I'd call it "acceptable". I did try the same setup with the 4mm ID of the blow gun in the cabin, and that realy constrained the flow. It realy took for ever to reach 120. That's why the 6mm is better. Needless to say, if you can find a fitting for an 8mm ID tube, it's better to use that one. The spiral hoses in the back, for the air, are 8mm ID, to allow faster and bigger air flow, so yes, it's better to use a fitting for 8mm ID.

Hello Charles!🙋🏼‍♀️ Thank you very much, she is delighted that everyone likes her garden. We don't traditionally celebrate Halloween rather, on November 1st, we celebrate All Saints' Day. All Saints' Day, also known as "Mindenszentek" in Hungarian, is a day to commemorate and honor all the saints and deceased loved ones. People visit cemeteries, light candles, and place flowers on graves as a sign of respect and remembrance. But, some of us try to adopt some "Halloweenish" traditions. Like carving pumpkins, putting decorations, but we aren't as good as the Americans at all!😁 We try our best!😊 For example we don't celebrate "trick or treat".🎃🌻 What are you preparing for Halloween?👻 Take care!🍁

You should never check tyre pressure if you are not situated very close to a tyre centre as the valve may malfunction. It has happened to me and then the tyre starts deflating. Moreover, you should use two different pressure monitors as one of them may be not calibrated properly or may malfunction. Moreover, you should avoid pumping tyres if they are not placed in a cage as they may blow up and cause injury or death. Moreover, when you place saliva onto the valve to check for air leaks, you are supposed to keep the saliva there for at least 7-8 seconds and monitor it to see if bubbles form. After that you need to wipe it out as you don’t wanna trap the saliva underneath the valve cap and therefore risk rust forming and damaging the inside of the valve and cause valve failure. Major factor for valve failure is moist. You are supposed to be mechanical engineer, but you resemble a cowboy (cowgirl) Eastern European truck driver. No offence. I’m also a lorry driver and also from Eastern Europe but at least I am trying not to look like a cowboy…
