I smelled antifreeze on the outside of mine when I turned it off. Could it be a leak happening?

That could be indicative of a leak. Guessing you see no coolant puddles below.

@@MI_Magazine thank you for replying and no I haven't seen anything. Mechanic said it has something to do with some kind of flow and will need to replace the temperature gage. I just purchased it used, thinking this may be a bad purchase and may need to give it back. Getting it from carmax
