I tride to cheese him for like 1 hr or so but then I realized that it was more harder trying to cheese him than facing him straight up so I stick to my instinct and tried my best to beat him and it was more easier than I thought, here’s how you beat him. 1) Buckler shield IS your best friend. Why? Because it gives you more room to parry his attacks than most shields. 2) Whenever he jumps and about to smash down his spear, wait until the very last minute and press L2 (PS4) or LT (XBOX) to parry his attack, once u’ve succeeded, he’ll be stunned and press attack ONE time to slash him. 3) Whenever his horse spits out fire balls, dodge to the left to avoid, don’t heal up while it’s throwing fire at you bc your character won’t have enough time to react in order to dodge that. 4) When he has reached to 2/4 of his health bar, he’ll start throwing lightning at you and here’s a trick on how to dodge them. Watch out for his leg, whenever you see his leg squeeze upward, it means that he’s about to throw lightning at you, dodge backward to avoid the attack, and whenever he throws lightning on the ground, find a safe space to stand onto, don’t dodge around to much or else you’ll get hit by accident, stay calm. 5) ONLY parry whenever he jumps and about to smash down his spear, for all of the other types of his spear attack, run or dodge to avoid because you will not be able to parry them all unless you’re pretty good at parrying. 6) He’ll keep repeating the same moves all over again so it’ll be more easier for you to learn all of his attacks later on. 7) Stay calm and best of luck to all of the Tarnishes out there🤘👊🙌

i was parrying it 90% of the time. now i have failed parrying it 50 times in a row. i have been on this boss for a minimum of 8 hours.

I give up, I’m just gonna fight him regularly. Tried 20 times and each time one of my RT attack misses

Try the poison mist method, it take some time but you will surely save a lot more

Works insanely good! If you run out of Kukri knifes, you can just buy them for 60 runes.

50th try not even a single daze not a missed attack not nothing he won't stumble he does ou the way and kills me this method has clearly been patched

I tried it too, it does not work, i followed the step you did, and nothing worked, also, it took me two full charged r2's and two heavy unsheathes to stun him, this doesnt work anymore

Yes it does. I literally did it on the current patch multiple times, and there are other people saying it works in the comments

Not sure if it’s patched right now but i beat him first try at level 31 with rotten stray ashes because of poison damage. If you cant get the cheese to work try +5 rotten stray ashes might have gotten lucky tho 😅

Theres a distance where you can shoot him and he wont attack

Sneak behind and poison mist him but wsit while each mist finishes or youll run out its far easier did it today first go

why does my sword do a thrusting-like animation when I do a charged attack but yours does a downwards/upwards slash attack... same sword and everything.

Are you moving at all when you are initiating the attack?

@@Kwerple Ended up getting it done - appreciate the video. And no I don’t believe I was moving. The effects of the attack were the same jus weird that the animation is completely different
