Been doing hiking for quite a while and enjoying it with friends. Nagkamali pala ako sa pagpili ng shoes ko dahil midcut, waterproof and my target mountain as of now is here in the Philippines na medyo hot ang klima. 1st time ko hike borrowed sandals. relip pwede dami cheap like 350/pair akin before dami na abused major haikes pwde din trail runners or low cut hiking boots. lightweight and water gets out easily size +1 sa iyong size for blood expansion pro ang waterproof mid/high cut if alam nang wlang river/rain ingress. otherwise mabigat. but also comfy naman

Cool opening intro. I know that tune. Orange County Supertones!!! My tip for anyone looking for the right hiking boot or trail shoes. First, put on a 50lb(25 kg) backpack and walk for 5 hours. Go up hill and downhill. When you start to stumble and drag your feet, now is the perfect time to try on hiking shoes. No joke. It's only when you start hiking "extreme" is when your footwear is most important.

Personally, I'm not a fan of sandals for hiking. I feel much safer and comfortable with hiking shoes. But, for some mas okay sa kanila ang sandals! Mas mahangin daw sa paa at madali linisin. So, it'll depend on your preference. But if your just starting, I suggest starting with shoes for safety. Let me know what works best for you!

For starters, okay lang. Not the best but it'll give you an idea on how hiking is. I don't suggest buying a hiking shoe immediately! Start small, start slow and get the hang of it.

I'm not a fan of sandals, hindi ako comportable sa kanya at mas safe ang pakiramdam ko sa sapatos. I know some guys though who find sandals very practical though. Cheaper, madali hugasan at i-pack!
