I have to change my entire way of thinking about sink tips. I have always just attached a heavier sink tip to my line to get deeper. It never occurred to me that the sink tip is dependent on my line weight and that the weight of the fly chosen should be determined by the weight of my sink tip... argghhhh.

Great information. What do you use for a leader and tippet off the Replacement Tips? Tapered leaders or straight mono/flouro?

Looking for a solution to add a sink tip to the end of my Rio Coastal Quickshooter XP intermediate line. Can I add a MOW/replacement tip or versileader in a pinch? Going to be fishing for stripers etc. on Martha's Vineyard and will only have 2 spools with me and the other one is a floating line. Thanks!
