You mentioned that the battery can only be charged a fixed number of cycles. And then said you should therefore use as much of it up as possible before charging. Most Li-ion batteries have double the cycles if doing half capacity charges. Also Li-ion batteries deteriorate faster if pushed up to 100 and down to 0, much better to stay in the 25-75 range. Great video otherwise 😊

Instead of a battery cover make sure to never store the battery in cold ambient temperatures. If possible charge it indoors and mount it before driving. This will net you a range benefit of around 30%. Same goes for cars. The pre conditioning part, not the dismounting the battery part. Duh.

I bought the 2019 and Radrunner, I get people asking me about it every day, i’ve only seen one another in 18 months, I don’t know why there isn’t any more especially only being £1070

Hey Daniel! The Rad Power Rad runner range has been in my sights for a while now. They look awesome. If I didn't have three flights of stairs to carry it up I'd be seriously considering one.

An informative video absolutely spoiled by unnecessary, irritating & irrelevant inserts. In future stick to the detail and don't bother trying to be clever with visual effects - you don't need them, you're a good enough presenter without them!

At 6'55” you state that a motor's power is measured in Watt-hours. That’s not true. Watt-hours are a measure of Energy (because Energy = Power x Time). The power of a motor is simply measured in Watts. Watt-hours are a measure of the battery capacity. Big difference.
@simonbean12643 жыл бұрын
I dont think there are any e bikes in the UK that are actually 250watts only . The stated motor wattage is the nominal rating of the motor , most e bikes give around double this figure as peak output. Battery volts X controller amps = watts. So say an e bike has a 36 volt battery and a motor controller which allows 15 amps current ( a pretty typical setup) 36x15 gives us a peak wattage of 540 watts, regardless of what is stamped on the motor.

The most important thing to know is the battery, the amp hour and how this works. So say its 48v and 30 amp hour this means its 30 x48vots. I would not buy anything under 20 amp

That was one of the most informative videos I have ever watched! As I have been looking to purchase an electric bike but am baffled by the choice! Now I know which ones to go for & which ones to avoid! I was in a bike shop & I wanted to purchase a conversion kit to be fitted & the seller was telling me to buy a front battery but now I know that this is wrong ! Saved me money & stress!
