Greetings, Mr. Alex Muir, I am Divyansh Sharma, and I love your video course. I’m a man who wants to learn about cars and spend my life with them, and this video course is really, for me at least, the bridge to a life of automotive excitement. I love how you go into extreme detail about everything, and explain it with all your heart. It’s really helpful for car enthusiasts like me, who want to go into cars, but know a fraction of what there is to know before you can pop the hood and get to work. I especially love those little bits of humour you include in the middle, they really brightens things up. I admire how you really know what you’re doing, which gives me, and I’m pretty sure everyone else, confidence, that we won’t screw things up when we try to do something as little as change the oil. Since I love your course so much, I ask (in the best way possible): When can I get to see the rest of it? You explaining gearboxes, differentials, and with your amazing 3d graphics, the braking system, the power steering, and suspension. I really admire what you’re doing, which is why I’m so excited to see the rest of your magic. Thank you so much for taking time to read this, and I hope you’ll get back to me soon. Regards, Divyansh Sharma

I've watched all these videos now but I have to say that the content on the website is well worth the £20 for lifetime access.

Great video. What load ratings do you have on the good stand? I would like to see a heavy engine on it to see how stable it is. The height adjustment is a good feature. I have found it giving too much flex when loaded on the engine stands I build.

you can purchase a "Digging bar" for larger Big block chevy weighted engines and just use it to walk the engine hoist or stand , older mechanic would do that when by himself .alsotosin engine over you can add the Floor jack handle on the end crank handle of engine stand to turn to Upright the block

The top notch engine stand not sure how to spell it sounds German. Where do you get them and how much do they cost? As I have looked at others and I'm not confident that they will take the weight of the V8 engine? I will not be taking the engine out for a couple of months so loads of time to get it? Please help me on this one?

A high quality stand will actually handle its rated weight. A Chinese stand needs to be derated by at least 50%. Their 1,000 lb stands will barely hold a 500 lb engine. Keep that in mind when you are considering which stand to buy.
@roddydykes70532 жыл бұрын
Yeah especially those fricken jacks, they’ll say rated for 2 tonnes then blow out when lifting the corner of a mid-sized car
