This is my first time using Eco Flow. I bought the smaller version of River 2, it arrived this week and....I love it too much! ❤❤❤ I had an outage today for about 4-6 hours and I was able to charge my laptop and have internet all those hours. I‘d go for the RIVER 2 Pro too. Best bang for the buck and highest output of RIVER 2 series. That one can power a kettle or a microwave oven. In summer it will run my 12 V freezer with solar power. Lovin it!

You guys really should offer a version or an option of expansion on the PRO. Also here is an IDEA the inverter NEEDS to hit atleast 1500watts NON boosted AC output. This would be a true win. Also the PRO along with the expandable DELTA 2 could use a multiple option on expansion batteries instead of only one extra and a port allowing for EXTRA solar input on it. This would greatly increase your sales. BTW I would choose the RIVER 2 PRO! Wish I had one right now.

You can use as many extra batteries as you want on the Delta 2. You just have to unplug the dead one, then plug in the fresh one, which would automatically start charging the main unit

They look very sharp. Tell me, which one would be the best option to cover a short outage with the EPS functionality? I was planing on getting the MAX and connect my router permanently to it. Hi there, RIVER 2 series EPS switching times are all within 30ms. And sure you can power the router since it uses small watts per hour. Will the company's 220 watt solar panel work with the RIVER 2 series -->Sure it can! If you only want to power the router, RIVER 2 is already enough. But you can also purchase a bigger one like RIVER 2 Pro or Max to power more appliances at the same time. How does the x-boost work? For example, the River 2 has an AC output rated at 360W max 600w surge, but the x-boost suggests it can run 600W continuous. Could I run my 500W AC hotplate for 5 mins without damaging the River 2, or shutting it down, in x-boost mode? Or it is just like a longer surge mode for short periods?

Hey there! The X-BOOST mode works by pulling down the AC out voltage to boost the current to drive some appliances over the power-rated power. It is applicable for devices such as kettles and hair dryers. But whether it can drive certain devices is according to the actual test, because some appliances might have a narrow input voltage range.

Bought a River Mini ... Gets my Air2S batteries charged for a day out on the ground! But need that bigger one! The old series you could buy a larger one that you could increase with purchase of battery underneath. Don't see that option with the River 2 Series

Hi, 1) Can a 180W solar panel be used with River2Max? 2) What devices can be connected to River2 Max? Or a microwave, or a kettle, or a refrigerator? I ordered a Rever2Max and a 180W solar panel from a dealer in Ukraine. Until I realized that it is possible to connect to such a device in conditions of frequent lack of electricity and I want to use the device for survival. I wanted to order the Pro version, but they said that the queue had already stretched until the New Year.

Hi whether the solar panel can be used or not depends on VOC and MPPT controller of the solar panel. If VOC is less than 50V and there isn't embedded nor external MPPT controller , then the solar panel can be used. As to applicable devices, appliances whose ac out max rated power is 500W can be connected to RIVER 2 Max. But please note that the peak for those devices should be or less than 1000w peak with around 270ms lasting duration.

Hey mark, you don't need an adapter to charge the RIVER 2 with the solar panel, just connect the cable to the XT60 female connector and connect it to R2 would be fine.

I can't find any information about boiling water on travel kettle rated at 500-600W . I dont mind longer boiling time but I'm genuinely curious about whther or not it will run and what x-boost means in terms of boiling water on these kettles

Hi there, I recommend River 2 Pro in your case. X-boost feature works by the way of voltage reduction and current boost to try to run loads with higher power than the rated power of the portable power station. If you want to use X-boost to power the kettle, the boiling time will be longer than normal, but it can work.

Actually the battery capacity of RIVER 2 is 256Wh and it is similar to RIVER mini whose capacity is 210Wh. So RIVER 2 is the mini version among RIVER 2 series if you do want a "RIVER 2 mini".😆
