So, what are some of YOUR favorite things to look at when choosing which channels to open?

great presentation style, you are effective at taking complex processes and making them entertaining and easy to follow. I think if I watch it 3 more times I'll be ready to open a channel

How many channels and how much capacity per channel would you say is sufficient for the minimum to get started?

2:40 FYI, they added recommended nodes...just looked at my channel and had a slew of recs (including 1 or 2 which I am already peered with...weird).

Great content, keep it coming, just conected a node to you, do you use charge-lnd or any other script to automate fees? Thx
@Bitcoinftm

I do use Charge-LND, but only on some channels. I'll have a video coming out in a week or two which explains why ;)

One thing Ive never figured out without asking the node operator is, how much liquidity on my end is required to open a channel with them? Could you cover that when opening channels?
@Bitcoinftm

Please elaborate? I don't understand the question, or I think you are misunderstanding something about lightning.

Can you please cover your method of re balancing through fees instead of through circular? I think this makes a lot of sense and is more or less how I initially planned to do my routing before I discovered re balancing.
@Bitcoinftm
@Bitcoinftm 3 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion, recorded a video today about how to rebalance using fees, and I talk about it a bit and how I manage the flows. I'll also likely do a video on fee policy soon, though I'm still learning myself.

So far, almost 4 minutes in, everything that you've done seems pretty arbitrary as if you have some kind of knowledge of something going in that I don't understand how you got. By the way I'm very tech savvy I've been developing software for 40 years.

Hmm sorry to hear you felt that way, I'll try to explain my logic much more in the future. Thanks fo rhte feedback
