How to choose whether CAIRNS or PORT DOUGLAS is the right Tropical North Queensland holiday for you

We visited Cairns and Port Douglas from the UK in Feb. You present a good summary of the options each destination offers. We really liked the Cairns Botanical Gardens, not sure you mentioned them. Well worth a visit.

No one that lives here decides on one or the other because the road between each other is so good , especially on motorbikes.

Safer in Port Douglas. Much lower crime rate compared to Cairns, in general.
