Ideally the defense team should be characters who can revive themselves or stall time other ways, like giving buffs. That could prevent opponents from giving the quick fight bonus. The most common defense I see in arena for if you go to the rankings, is Hades (because dual invincibility buffs plus revive), Mad Hatter (for debuff immunity), Ian (most common damage dealer), Joy (for buff steal/removal prevention) and Meg (to link Hades and make him even more broken). Some other common ones are Bagheera (for team invisibility), Angel (for reviving a team member) and Drakken (an alt damage dealer to Ian who also slows enemies tremendously)

Respectfully, I don't think you're talking about these teams correctly. The team on defense is a totally different team that those players use when attacking, and you're at the top because you attack the best. Granted, a good defense will make it harder for other people to score on you, but I don't know that it's a direct correlation that being the top of arena means "it's the best team". They might be a good defensive team, but it's not certain. Secondly, the best defensive teams are counters to the most op attacks, then counter the counter. I.e. Everyone uses Zeus. Counter is reflect or Mary. The counter to that is Tron [FL] for reflect or someone like Bolt without starting energy (so not hexed) or Shego with massive basic attacks or Mad Hatter to disable the debuff. Therefore, Zeus + Tron, Zeus + Hatter or Zeus + Bolt if no Mary. If you want top scores in pvp, you need a deep team bench and the ability to swap out based on who is defending. To note, my "usual" attacking team is Zeus, Mary, Tron, Bolt, Jim. I'll beat nearly any Challenger 3-2 team with Zeus in 5 secs. I'm also top score week 4 Challenger 3 in Arena and Coliseum on S21. I do not have maxed mods, red, or yellow skills.

Madam Mims red disk also for Zeus. Comes in handy when Mary is off duty in war or you're doing a 2nd attack
