easiest way to solve the compression problem. Put a 74 crank and 5.4 rods in there. this will make an 1800. Which will require a larger cc combustion chamber. at 50 to 60 deck decent compression ratio.

What about the impact of the paper gasket (and possibly a little gasket sealer) between the cylinder and the block? Won’t that reduce the compression slightly?
