I have a high ceiling fan. I have the tools, but the blades move when I’m cleaning them. Is there a way to stabilize the blades so they won’t move. Thanks!

This video came in my Google search for the exact same question. It's definitely inaccurate and not useful for me. I have an extension jit for my 20' ceilings. I bought an extra pole (not cheap) to put in between the blades . But it still noved. I'm going to buy another flexible microfiber duster to put on it to see if that works.

It's simple, you get another person to help you, give them another long rod thingy to block one side of the fan blade from moving

If you're good at multitasking, you can use your other hand with a second rod to block the fan blade from moving as you clean with one hand

Have you tried the pillowcase method? Spritz the inside of a pillowcase with a mouthwash that contains some type of alcohol as an ingredient, this will cause the moisture on the ceiling fan to evaporate after you’re finished cleaning, also it will give a temporary “minty fresh” fragrance to the room… you could also use a cologne of your choice… As long as something contains some type of alcohol in order to cause evaporation after cleaning … Spritz the pillowcase good with the mouthwash so that it’s damp, but not wet… We want to pick up dust here and control dust particles from flying around… Gently wrap the ceiling fan blade of your choice into the inside of your pillowcase spritzed with mouthwash gently massage ceiling fan blade with the inside of said pillowcase… And then once you’re pretty certain you’ve gotten all the grime, spiderwebs, dust, etc., off of your beloved ceiling fan blade, remove pillowcase gently, and you might need to spritz again… Then proceed to next ceiling fan blade until you have completed cleaning all the ceiling fan blades… Again, while you’re up there, you may as well do a little cleaning and dusting on the other parts of the ceiling fan, that no doubt have some grime, check the lightbulbs, if you got lightbulbs in there, etc.… Wishing everyone the best, and a clean, happy, healthy household!❤

I can't use your cleaning method because I don't have a backpack vacuum. I'm going to use a microfiber cloth and vinegar and water. You can get swifter duster at Dollar tree and add an extension onto it.

I love that you always include a maintenance bit at the end. It's one thing to deep clean, it's a great habit to keep the maintenance so you don't have to deep clean as often or at all after.

I have a ceiling fan in the kitchen over the stove and it is thick with grease. How should I clean that?
@CleanWithConfidence Жыл бұрын
I would just take your time and use a damp microfiber cloth with Dawn dish soap. Go back and forth rinsing at the sink.

Can you paint the blades?
@CleanWithConfidence2 жыл бұрын
Not sure. I suppose it would depend on the type of blade.
