Not if it’s specifically made for stove tops, like this.

I found that if you’re just removing grease for a quick clean, take tea bags you’ve brewed tea with and put them in glass container til they brew at room temperature and use this weaker tea and it cuts through the grease pretty good and helps prevent buildup of oil on surface. Have no idea why it works.

Notice that she used only a microfiber towel on the glass top. She did use a paper towel to get under the edge between the stove top and the countertop but not on the glass itself. Paper towels are a cellulose paper product and has fibers that can damage your glass top. Same applies to your eyeglasses as well - no paper products to clean here either - those microfiber towels are the right thing here as well.

And even then, you have to be careful. I cleaned my ceramic stovetop with a microfiber cloth yesterday and I may have made two scratches in it. It's used, already was in the apartment, so I am not 100% sure, but I th so. Apparently, just having a pepper, sugar or salt grain on the surface while you clean it can scratch the stovetop. Anyway, I am applying the vinegar, dishwashing liquid and baking soda method at the moment, from her later video. If it works, it's still going to look a lot better than before.
