This is my daughters gaming laptop. This laptop is about 1.5 years old, and due for a good cleaning. This method should work with most laptops, all though the tear down will be different. Plus, this can help with cooling fan replacements if needed.
Tool's I use: amzn.to/3wdrHMe
Replacement fans if yours are broken/bad for HP models: amzn.to/3y4i3MH

Hello sir, thanks for this short and straight to the point video, very helpful! I've just unscrewd the back panel and will pop it off now. I really really like your q-tip and isopropyl alcohol advice. I feel more comfortable doing that than blowing compressed air into the components, for some reason I find that a bit scary and that it could potentially damage something. Anyways, much love and thanks again! Deep cleaning electronics shouldn't be hard, so a short guide like this one is super helpful! 😊

That’s normal for the fans run like that while gaming since depending on the game it puts a lot of demand on the cpu/gpu so things get hot. I would say the only times you should clean them if you can see that they are dirty or if those fans are being loud when the laptop is running under no demand.

Hello. After being done with cleanup process and readjusting everything including the battery, I got the error CMOS Checksum is invalid ERROR-502. What causes this and how do I fix it?
@MrDarkcore
@MrDarkcore 5 ай бұрын
Pretty sure you just remove the cmos battery while the laptop is unplugged as well as the battery. That should reset that error code.
@LambadeltaXMaria
@LambadeltaXMaria 5 ай бұрын
@@MrDarkcoreThank you! The error message didn‘t appear again after I restarted it. But if it appears again, I will try this. I saw a reddit user saying that everytime the CMOS (mine is integrated in my main battery that I unplugged) gets unplugged it shows this error after the first start because it resets itself with HP laptops. That would explain why it happened I guess. Not sure if you can confirm this.
