For me, ceramic coating is my choice. From the day 1 you bought your model, do quick cleaning and paint correction (if needed, as I found out, It always need a little bit of compound and polish to perfection). Then you use 5 years pro grade ceramic coating to coat your model car. After that, you dont ever bother to add any more protection to your model in many many years. Cleaning after ceramic coating is dead simple: some running water from tap water, a little bit compressed air then the dirt and remain water will come off SUPER easily. Your model car will be dead dry, fresh in 10 seconds! Everytime, in 10 seconds, maximum! Dont go with wax, too much labor.

Thanks man very helpful .i got paint blistered on few of my diecast cars due to humidity. i display my collection in glass cabinets.Should i keep in a closed ones?

It doesn’t matter if it’s a closed display case,humidity will find a way to it, my models are all in glass cabinets but I keep them in my basement away from direct sunlight and I use a dehumidifier at least twice a week to make sure the air is dry. Plus I do my polishing at least twice a year on them.

Thank you 🙏🏼 To be honest I have never had a situation like that so I’m not sure if the scratches will go away I guess it depends how deep the scratch is, I recommend using plastic polish when detailing plastic windows tho 👍🏽

Try the 3M perfect-it EX rubbing compound, I used this in one of my model with a blemish that I could not remove from a regular polish

I never use anything other than a bit of a warm water on a micro fibre cloth , anything with chemical might do some damage because it’s not really a glass but plastic. Thanks for the question 🙂

Hi thank you for watching my video 🙏🏼 To answer your question: don’t apply the wax directly to the sticker , try to go around it and when you’re ready to polish rub it gently where you have stickers. So far I didn’t have any issues with stickers coming off. Just try to be gentle when wiping on top of them 👍🏽

Nice job but never apply or remove wax or compound in circular motion....always back and forth....less chance of micro swirls...im a car detailer...And use a good quality mf towel.....that q-tip thing was killing me. Nice job tho.

Warm water is fine but I don’t recommend using any soap or detergent with it, warm water with a soft fibre cloth will rub away any oil residue or finger prints. Cheers and thank you for the feedback 👍🏽
