How to CLEAN and PROTECT your INTERIOR - Detailing 101 EP.10

Patrick, our resident videographer and photographer has been with us 5 months now and has NO IDEA how to take care of his car.
Many people like Patrick can sometimes get lost in the sea of car care products. What do I wash my car with? How can I keep it clean after I've washed it? It's the simple things that we want to help and educate you on.
So, introducing "Detailing 101". A step by step guide on the basics of car care, featuring Patrick and his BMW E36. During this series you'll see us educate Patrick on the most simple ways to Wash, Clean & Prep, Polish, Protection and Maintain his car.
Our aim is to share with you the simplest forms of car care, whether you're a non car guy, a car enthusiast, or someone that just wants to further their knowledge about detailing or the Meguiar's product range.
Carrying on from the last episode Patrick and Dale crack on with cleaning and protecting the carpets and dashboard of the BMW E36.
Carpets and seats are the most "used" part of the car, or at least get the most abused so it's very easy for the carpets to get dirty quickly. Using the Meguiar's Carpet and Fabric Cleaner alongside the Heavy Duty Multi-Purpose Cleaner it does a cracking job of making light work of the dirty and grime embedded in the carpets.
Dashboards again are a tricky one as over time they will get dusty and grimy and can potentially get sun damaged. Using the Quik Interior Detailer Cleaner with the New Car Scent Protectant you can make some fantastic changes to the dash giving it that "New Car Look". As you can see, the detailing mitt picks up all the hidden grim on the dash followed up by some UV protection.
And finally to get rid of those bad odours the brilliant Carpet and Fabric Re-Fresher is the only product for the job!

hi Guys i detail vehicles as well and im 75, i use all Mequiar's products and find them all very good for detailing i do have one major complaint tho, and i rang Maquiars here in Australia.my complaint is all the containers leak from the bottom whilst been stored on my shelves.the person i spoke to said that the containers are being replaced with heavy duty containers.but hasnt happened in Australia as yet only in America.so my gripe is the money i have lost due to inferior packaging, fortunately if i see it earlier enough i have taken the product back to super cheap or repco and they have replaced it for me.but a lot i havent been able to take back as to much time had passed.as for your videos that are Fantastic.so keep up the good work.thank you.

Do you use a regular vacuum or does it need to be a wet and dry?

Yes the mirror bright can be used both on the outside of the car and the inside.

Please don’t buy this product if you’re car has REAL leather! I used it on my new Jaguar and it left a smear and streaked look. Absolutely terrible! I had to purchase a high quality protector from my Jaguar dealership to clean this crap off! I spent 3 hours getting this product off and restoring my leather to its original look. I contacted Maguire and was told “our product is fine, you just do not know how to use our product “! I could not believe this terrible customer service! Please, please don’t make the same mistake I did!
