I saw on tik tok that someone scratched their cornea whilst taking off their contact lense and went blind...now I'm scared of wearing contacts but still they're much more comfortable than the glasses

If you ever think you might have scratched your cornea then see your eye care provider. If there is a scratch that they're concerned about they can prescribe you drops to prevent or treat an infection.

just make you sure you are using the pads of the fingers not the nails and to avoid that you can always cut your nails and file them to make them less sharp

i only wear my contacts for playing sports and i use monthly’s, so are a pair of monthly’s safe in the contacts case for a few weeks without using them?

1 week and then change the solution. Just because the old solution loses its disinfecting capabilities after some time.

Hello. If I wear daily lenses and one of them falls down as i’m trying to put it in my eye, am i able to use contact solution for rinse it off or can contact solution only be used to rinse off monthly contacts?

You can use multipurpose contact lens solution to rinse daily lenses 🙂

Is it okay that I rinse the case with a cheaper solution but let the lenses soak overnight in a good one which is more expensive? This might sound a little dumb but I'm really curious if it'd affect in any way haha

Rinsing it with a cheaper saline solution is fine. But sure you use the right disinfecting solution to soak overnight.

I just clean my case and lens in morning and i would go to college and there i put my disinfected lens then i would keep my lens in eve in the same solution and disinfect it in the next day morning is this correct procedure

Hi can I ask? I watch mostly of ur videos and I'm first timer using a contact lense, before we put contact lense we need to clean the hands first right? And then dry it with some towels? Can I ask if is it OK to use a tissue instead of towel?

Thank you for watching our videos! Hope it has been helpful. The biggest concern with tissue is getting tissue fluff on your fingers that transfer onto the contact lens and then your eye which will be uncomfortable. If you're careful there is no problems with using tissue. A lint free towel is just more fool proof.

For daily contact lenses (meaning we only wear once and throw), I don’t need any solution. I just wear them straight out from the packaging.

If you have daily disposables, there's no reason for you to have a case. You take them out of the packet, you wear them, you throw them away (and the packaging also). 🙂

You can use other multipurpose solutions with your contacts. Some solutions work better with particular brands hence why one may be preferred over the other. If you do change the solution brand and experience a reaction to it or feel the lenses aren't as comfortable you can switch back. And you can use thr same solution to clean your case with too.

Most importantly when you rub, try and get as much surface area of the lens as possible. Either motion is fine 🙂

Thanks for this instructional video on how to clean contact lenses. I'm a new contact lens wearer and I love it---although, the multifocal and astigmatism could be improved more. Why can't you disinfect the contact lens container and reuse the container after 3 months? Isn't there a more effective way to deep clean it?

I was given paperwork from my doctor that said to clean the contact lens case with soap and warm water, then let it dry. Is this bad? I’m not sure if I should use solution only or follow the guidelines I was given.

This may depend on the water quality in your country. As a blanket statement, no don't use tap water. But if your eye doctor has given you those instructions, follow your professional. 🙂

Sunglasses don't expire as long as it is kept in good condition. If there are scratches on the lens or the lens coating is coming off then there may be UV leaking through those areas.
