Looked like those seats hadn't been cleaned in 10 or 15 years, or more. Good job and I appreciate your elbow grease efforts. Easier and much faster is to use Spray 9 degreaser, dollar store magic sponge very softened and soaked in water, and a nice microfiber cloth. If you spray too much it will streak on a vertical surface, so spray it directly on the sponge Spray 9 will also clean the cloth stitching, important especially if its white. Otherwise the stitching just absorbs dirty ammonia water. And don't forget to seal the leather again after you clean it.

Leather or vinyl cleaner???? Looks nice and clean ...I would definitely go back over it with a something to moisturize & protect. Otherwise, cracking / splitting may become and issue.

Coconut shampoo and a microfiber sponge in warm water. Cleans and conditions at the same time. Wipe with a microfiber cloth to get the dirt off. Shawn.

In this instance use your car sponge for this or cut it in half that's what I did and let it run down the base of the backrest because it can start eating the metal under the carpet as there is acidity in the glass cleaner put a towel at bottom and remove when doing seatrest,just idea but this video was brilliant if you don't have the expensive leather cleaner ,👌Cushti

Clean is not necessarily safe; the ammonia in glass cleaners may not make nice with vinyl, and there are so many other good cleaners, i.e. Krud Kutter, that aren't as harsh. MEK does even better at cleaning vinyl - once.

This is not a good idea! The alcohol content of the cleaner effects the vinyl seat by making it brittle over time. Washing up liquid would do the job equally well without causing unnecessary damage.

I prefer faux leather over real leather; if that thing had real leather it would be ripped, stained and dried out by now. Using windex on leather is not ideal but to use it occasionally on vinyl? Why not... I'd follow up on leather or vinyl with a good conditioner after cleaning to help it retain moisture.

Lot easier to clean with diluted thinner not oil based but water based also called lacquer thinner or acetone make.sure to dilute it by adding about 30% water spray lightly leave it to cut thru the grime spray again and start washing

Oh that poor leather, anything that was protected it is now gone and it will likely dry out. Please dont use try this on your leather people, if you really need to clean your leather a heavily diluted degreaser is better. And always start with a test spot when using on a new car. Once clean make sure you condition it.

Of course is going to be cleaned, but better to dry it properly and apply a leather conditioner afterward because the glass cleaner and all the moisture will ruin the leather. Or better use a leather cleaner instead

Bad idea. I've done this. Leather will dry out and crack. However, you can get away with the foaming aerosol glass cleaner. But condition it quickly.

That is not glass cleaner in the bottle. And also that is not a leather seat. Glass cleaner does not foam. This is a soap solution in a glass cleaner bottle. Glass cleaner will become gummy if used on vinyl. Be careful what you do.

You know why this works? The glass cleaner probably has ammonia in it. I used to use ammonia to get the grime off of walls when I was a kid.
