I cleaned my track really good but my engine is stalling and stalling. I'm going to try this today. Those are beautiful engines you have.

This seems to work good for me. Hope you have good luck like I did. Thanks.

Recently airbrushed my switcher with acrylic paint, had to clean the trucks so it could run smoothly, this works so well in fact, that it takes only a minute to clean an engine

So does it really matter on which alcohol to use..the 70 or 90 percent?
@JohnsRailroad Жыл бұрын
I never really looked at that. I just looked at mine and I have 70. I know that works.
@AlexNunes-z6v7 ай бұрын
idk I think 90/91 is higher I guess that means it does a better job than 71%.I'm just guessing 🤔 I don't know
@littlewolf9477 ай бұрын
@@AlexNunes-z6v I went ahead and used 90 percent..90 percent has less water in it than 70.

Damn I could of done this the whole time ?instead of buying new more tracks

Thats what I always did was take the track apart reconnect or replace it. I saw this years ago a train flea market. A guy was doing it to show his engines worked. Been doing it ever since. 10 years or so. Its not a cure all but it really worked for me.

This is a great idea but it is no use for unpowered wheels...
@JohnsRailroad10 ай бұрын
You are right. I do not ever clean the non powered engines wheels. I only do it to improved performance when the powered units start to stop and start from not having a good connection to the track. Thanks for the input.

But the problem is.. that some of the locos have pickups on the non-powered wheels, like in the tenders of steam locos for a typical example.. they need to be clean to pick up the power for the loco to run......
