Condensate traps can become full of gunk and insects, which means you will need to clean it out by filling it with tap water and shaking it and emptying as many times as needed.
They can also become blocked solid when the dirt inside solidifies in which case you'll need to replace the trap.
This is an Ideal logic combi boiler, but it's the same for heat only and system boilers.
You might need to screw the bottom cap off the trap first from under the boiler (on older Ideal Logics). Make sure to have a bucket under neath to catch the water.
