Only use water based sealers ONLY never use a coating it will peel and look unsightly now ur into tile restoration. WATERBASE SEALERS ONLY the polish from 800 up the polishing and the filling of the holes will make it easier to clean

Dawn to the rescue again! I don’t have this type of flooring but found the video informative. I’m in the market for a new kitchen/breakfast nook floor. I’m so torn. I have dogs. I’m not rich. I currently have linoleum - about 25 years old!

The new Vinyl Plank Flooring also known as LVP, is the hot item at the moment. Super durable and easy to maintain. If your water heater bursts flooding your home, you just pull the floor up, dry it off and put it back down :)

My Travertine tile floor is around 8 years old and I was wanting to get a honed shine back on my floor! Do I need to rent a buffer and sand with 800 grit and than 1500 grit to restore? I do have a few places on floor that lemon juice spilled and is etched! Can I get the etching out without sanding?

I have the opposite of a stain. I dropped a big jar of fresh lemon juice on the floor. It took all the color out. Now it's a huge white splatter stain. Any ideas know what to do to restore the natural color? Thanks!

Just got the o’ cedar mop that you’re showing. That’s a great tip to clean the floor before you mop it. I didn’t think of that. Are usually swiffer the floor one day and then mop it another day because of my back. I will try to do them both on the same day But I’m doing it every week, since we had it cleaned recently. The tile guy told me how to take care of it

Are travertine tile floors supposed to be shiny and smooth, or rough? I am trying to clean mine using steam with a small scrubbing brush attachment, and it's actually working pretty well -- getting all the dirt out of the little pocks. But I can only do maybe a dozen square feet before my elbow is too sore (arthritis?). I've got two bathroom floors and two showers to do. I think the tiles were already etched by the previous owners, especially in the shower. (And some by me too, since I didn't know it was natural stone tile and not to use acidic cleaner.) So I guess after I get it all cleaned, I will need to have someone come in and seal it with epoxy to prevent further dirt collection and damage?? I was thinking I could just seal it myself, but the more I look into it, the more it seems like that might not be advised. 🫤
