I am so desperate to find a way to clean my antique gold leaf gorgeous Edgar, Allan Poe poem book. I really hope this works. It’s so beautiful it’s just super mildewy. I’ve been researching and it seems baking soda is the common stable. But one video I watch said to put it in the freezer?

Great! I kept books in the basement. I want to keep them after all in case my child wants to read them and also because these children's books are hard to find now. They contain so much nostalgia. Don't keep books in the basement! We live near and embankment and it can get very moist in that basement. I think I will use rose and lavender as oils since those are antifungal. Fungi hates lavender don't they?

This is the reason why i am starting to like ebooks. I mean i started reading ebooks on my phone. Then i kinda like to read on physical books now. Then, i remembered that books get molds so i kinda want to shift back on ebooks again.

Hi. I like your video very much. How long do you have to leave the book in the closed box with the baking soda and essential oils? I have a number of books that stayed in un-airconditioned storage too long and some have white powdery mold, or mildew (?) deposits inside the front and back covers. Yuck.

So my dog just had to pee on my things which included multiple of my really nice editions of authors such as HP Lovecraft, Edgar Allan Poe, Sun Tzu, etc.. they were pretty thoroughly soaked sadly.. is there any way to save them or are they just trash now? If anyone has advise/ideas please let me know.😭 Thank you!

I'm really sorry for your books 😢. Im not sure if that's will help, but i will suggest the following : 1. Dry your books in the sun, the sun will sanitize the books also by the heat. 2. Once they are completley dry, use dump cloth soap and warm water and try to clean areas where there is pee yellowing. Be careful that the cloth will have just little wet ( put the water and liquis soap in a spray bottle). Then once done put all the books in a box and sprinkle all the pages with bicarbonate sodium . I pray that this will help you. Jesus bless you and your family 🙂🤍✝️🙏🌿

A bunch of nonsensical actions, including cargo cult rituals... I was looking for someone giving real advice on how to clean old books (40-100years old) and here I am, seeing a video where a person does a ritual trying to "clean:" the book by adding two drops of cinnamon oil to bicarb, and putting OXYGENATED WATER in the books (this has the potential to destroy the paint!). People, STOP this madness of using bicarb and essential oils for things, there are proper products for this kind of stuff. Bicarb is not a panacea and usually don't even work for what people intend to use it.

Did you find someone with the appropriate level of experience/expertise giving advice? So far I've only seen qualified mould companies using vacuums and people experimenting with rubbing alcohol and/or hydrogen peroxide...

Hydrogen Peroxide is a dollar or two at any dollar/bargain store.

Not really. Hydrogen peroxide is pretty unique. I wouldn't use bleach or anything for example. Hydrogen peroxide is a natural bleach.

well, the word of God has to be perfect. AND THE BIBLE HAS CLEAR CONTRADICTIONS. How can it be the truth? Reference: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKaVknSOgph7f5o
@danielvso Жыл бұрын
@@Solitary11 Dig deeper. A lot of these so-called contradictions are bogus, not real for serious students. But even if there are real contradictions, the Bible is a whole library, and you can find truth where no "contradictions" are present. Another possible answer for you: even a street sign with misspellings can have truthful information for your journey. Think about that.
@Solitary11 Жыл бұрын
@@danielvso You're right only if this book was from some human or philosopher. Christians claim it to be a WORD OF GOD. God doesn't make mistake. There's no room for it. God is All-Perfect. So, if there's even any "justification" for those contradictions there (instead of rejecting them with evidence), is itself the proof of this book being false. "Dig Deeper." Bro, there are clear contradictions, you choose to simply blind follow instead of use reason and logic to find why THE WORD OF GOD has inconsistencies. Why would I base my life on something that has errors my man? GOD, never makes mistakes. P.s. there's a difference between misspellings and quoting different scenarios at two same moments of history. May we be guided to the truth. Peace.
