When cleaning a carpet, if you can act quickly to improve the chances of removing the stain.
I unsure of if the product would mark the carpet; first use the product on an inconspicuous area of your carpet before use to make sure it won’t damage or discolour the material.
Do not rub the stain, as this can damage the carpet fibres and increase the severity of the stain.
Cleaning up wine spills.

It worked!! I even tried the salt method first. I Let the salt sit on the stain for about 7 hours. Vacuumed the salt up and the stain was still a big problem. I Used the Butlers method, repeated it with paper towel about 3 times. Then did a 4th time and finished it by using a carpet cleaner with room temp water. Stain is gone!!! Can’t believe it worked. Thanks

Amazing! I tried the salt thing and all it did, is dry out the stain but it did not make a difference in intensity. Four turn with this mix on the dried on stain and a good wet-dry vacuum did the trick. Thank you! You Sir, are a lifesaver!

Impressive! Sucking the stain out is a great idea. I've tried blotting out stains with paper towels, and it's arduous, wasteful, and doesn't work as well.

Hi, yes it is absolutely possible. The traditional butler jobs are not as common as they used to be with lots of clients going for a modern butler/house manager, but they are still around.

Hi that is not a silly question at all. It is an advantage to speak English as several of the counties who employ a lot of butlers have English as a first or second language - USA UAE KSA etc... But that doesn't mean that there are not plenty of Greek speaking people looking for butlers. 2 British friends of mine worked for Greek families. I imagine they would have preferred a Greek native speaker but one with the appropriate training was not available.

Hi Yes it does work on deep pile carpet. It is not as effective because it is harder to get the solution into the stain but it does work. It will take a little longer

Actually Vodka (7parts to 3parts water) can be substituted for isopropyl alcohol, though IPA is much cheaper! Sometimes, vodka is still around at the end of a party! I'm so glad I didn't get rid of the old 'Vax' wet & dry vacuum.

Yes. It is more difficult the longer it has been there but it will work. You might need to leave the solution to soak in for a little while before the vacuuming.

It should, but try on a bit that is not obvious first as sometimes the dye on a wool rug is not safe for this solution.

Club soda does work especially if you use this same technique but this mixture works much better. Bicarbonate of soda can also be mixed with water and that is a really good cleaning agent.

Yes it is a huge amount of work for one person. I used to do this for a single gentleman which is possible (but hard work) but to do it for a family would be very difficult.

This is isopropyl alcohol, not ethanol. It contains other compounds in it that typical ethanol doesn’t, and these compounds will harm you or even kill you.

How would one clean pet urine from a wool Persian carpet?

Hi realistically this is one of the hardest things to remove. Especially from a wool carpet. I would recommend professional rug cleaners for this job. If you really want to do it yourself; Using the technique in this video could work but there is a genuine danger of removing the pigment from the rug. The longer the stain has been there the harder it is to remove it. Option 2 is distilled white vinegar diluted by 50% with water (if you are in a hard water area use distilled water) this is usually fairly effective on urine stains. If the rug is an antique you may not be able to use a strong vacuum so blotting with paper towels is safer. Good luck!
