Top tip guys use a cream cleaner like Cif and Magic sponges these restoration cleaning products are expensive and work no better than the ones I have suggested. 👍🏼

Cif will take the sheen off the Upvc ! And make it more difficult to clean the times after , bad tip ! ..lots of advice online to NOT use ciff , way too abrasive

I have used that Thomson restorer before and wasn’t impressed. I used neat Cif using a non scratch sponge scourer used for washing plates and it worked a treat.

Great tip thanks. This stuff looks like car T-Cut. Besides this windowsill looks pretty good already! Our kitchen windowsill is badly stained and car rubbing compound is not shifting the stains

they've hardly picked a badly stained or dirty window to use as an example have they ! Mine are yellow with algae and sun bleaching and various other stains. My feeling is there is nothing in these products that a mild abrasive like Vim or T Cut couldn't achieve. All it is doing is removing a thin layer of PVC .

Mine too ,I found something that works excellent. Got it on Amazon, Novus #2 fine scratch remover. With a little elbow grease mine look like brand-new.

Mine where like that.I used fine grade wet and dry sand paper (use with water)and they came up like new and i then used some car wax to protect them xx

Be all day doing that...tfr and water fed pole and rinse off then quick wipe round with magic sponge and vistal

I accidentally stained my up upvc window Cill in my bedroom with essential oil I’ve tried pure alcohol to rub it off but seen no improvement anyone got a better suggestion

I have faded brown upvc windows I cleaned then used teak oil very lightly and they are now as goos as new and it has been 6 months and they are still shining like new.

You should never clean uPVC with cream cleaners like CIF because they contain an abrasive that will scratch the surface and make it easer for dirt and organics to cling to it. This can eventually damage the material permanently, You should use a dedicated solvent cleaner and then polish with something like neutral car wax, that will protect the surface and allow water to run off.

No they contain microcrytals that gently buff away the weathered top surface and don't damage anything done properly!

Solvent cleaners break down the rubber seals around windows causing black lines to form down the frames every time it rains 👍
