@warehousetheultimategym53142 жыл бұрын
The biggest issues are the small wheels get tangled with hair and almost impossible to remove. Also, the rubber roller does that remove at all.AND this is where the majority of hair and debris get stuck. Have to do microsurgery with various items to even attempt to remove the crap. If you LOVE vacuuming, cleaning vacuums, and spending more time doing maintenance then actually cleaning, THIS UNIT IS FOR YOU!

@5:54 just under the palm of your right had there is a small photo on the appliance that shows you need to cut along the roller to basically unwrap any hair wrapped around it and the hair comes off easily. It does say to do this in the instructions too. In a house with three long haired women this technology has worked perfectly and there is never any left over hair that I can't get off

@@crazybaker1 yes I am using the same cordless shark model. I have just seen your latest video and the reason the pipe is getting blocked is because you are trying to hoover up pieces of rubbish that are already too big to fit through the pipe (the piece of cardboard that came out of your pipe) sorry but basic cleaning knowledge will tell you to pick up pieces like this and throw them in the bin and not ruin the life of your hoover with them. Wow, im surprised folks seem to have ao many issues with this. First off, mine works great and its old, that brush is for HAIR, and as anyone with long hair and shedding pets will tell you, hair jams up vacuum brushes, period. in particular, long HAIR, when you vacuum, spools around the head and jams up the bristles as well as making it difficult for it to turn. The longer your hair the worse it is. Traditional brushes, no matter the vacuum require me to get put the seam ripper or scissors to un tangle it every other time i use it. Pet floof will always eventually need to be pulled out of bristles on any vac too, so those rubbery blades are fantastic. I cant remember the last time i had to flip over my vacuum to perform hair removal surgery. Also, vacuums are for cleaning, but they too must be occasionally cleaned and maintained.
@crazybaker1 Жыл бұрын
One big issue is new carpets which will block up the pipe and rollers, I always here about pets' hairs, but luckily for you that you don't have new carpets in your house, as you said you have pets running around 😉 😜
@BenOliver9992 жыл бұрын
Mine is the same, not really anti-hair at all. That said, hair doesn't seem to cause the roller to seize up which I have experienced on other models. What also gets bunged up on mine are the little wheels towards the front of the head, just behind the brush roller. I had a posher Miele one which was solidly built but so badly thought out against hair that once hair got in the roller bearing it melted itself!
@crazybaker12 жыл бұрын
We just spend time getting the hairs out the roller, it's always good to have 2 vacuums, one for quicker Cleaning and the other for all the sawdust and cleaning out the car 😀

The answer to the hair wrapping around the roller in any vacuum cleaner is in my view to make that whole section 'disposable'. Just make it a one-finger button action to have it click out and go buy a 'replacement'. I know I would. Make them cheap and widely available. Imagine having a replacement roller for £9.99 on Amazon that needs replacing every couple of months.

Can you rinse the clear bin part in warm water? Not sure if there are any electrical parts!
@crazybaker13 жыл бұрын
Hi Natalie best way is to rinse it, just remove the rear filters first, no electrical part at all, once done just dry out, I put a cloth round and then leave in a warm place 😀👍 laters Steve

Do you know if I can pop off those two tiny front wheels without damaging or breaking something? I had similar wheels on my corded shark, but they obviously pop off..these ones, not so obvious. I see a couple other comments about them in this thread. Such a pain!
@crazybaker13 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if the wheels come out easy or not, I was looking at that last week, the Mrs Crazy don't want me to take all a part, she said it's not broken 😀 I have a work shop manual on it's way which may have all the answers 👍 laters Steve

@@carlafg1 the small wheels just put out, after cleaning just push back in, be careful not to break them, you need to hook around the small metal bar, it's a pain in the bakery 😀 laters

@@carlafg1 I got the little rubber wheels off very easily by putting a flat screwdriver in either side , and gently and evenly lever them and they pop out no problem . Loads of hairs get stuck in the bearing recess, but a little washers shaped disc of hair just lifts off the shaft either side, and just pop them back in again eaten pressure, this time on the centre of the rubber . Very satisfying .

Does the yellow and black roller come out? I have a newer model and they have a window and it’s filthy!!!

And is it a Allen key or a screw driver for the bottom? My husband sucks a load of washing powder up and it’s all stuck

Mine is the same, to remove the bigger roller is very difficult, it can be done but it takes a long time, it's been made to be replaced if it gets damaged, only way to clean the window is to put a kitchen cloth round the roller and by hand turn it round 😉 hope this helps 😀 laters Steve

How do you clean inside the tubes? Mine are blocked I think
@crazybaker14 жыл бұрын
Hi yes I did 😀 my one was full of hairs and bits of paper, one thing I have notice if the filter is not clear the air doesn't suck well and this could cause the blockage, so I now hold on the maximum power, the only down side is the battery runs out quickly 😀 laters Steve

Hi Dave I don't have part number, but if you go down on to Shark parts website put in your model number and then you should find out the part required, I have also been on Amazon and Ebay there's a number of companies doing parts, only some may be cheaper copycat parts with out test out my self, I would go to Shark websites thanks mate laters Steve

Hi I really enjoyed your video but I’ve a question on the main head there are two tiny tiny wheels one either side and mine are FOREVER getting clogged up and what a nightmare it is to pull bits out ! Any ideas? Also would these getting clogged up affect the performance of it in any way. I gave pets and it’s a real problem to keep the shark in tip top condition also any tips on cleaning the actual dust bucket I think they look disgusting after they’ve been used a few times and you can’t really immerse it in water! Great vacuum cleaner I love it although expensive I wouldn’t be without mine this is my third first I had the rocket then the duo clean before this latest version which I now have.
@crazybaker13 жыл бұрын
Hi the wheels are a pain, but you just have to live with it, the one thing that affects the performance is the pipes and filters if not clean out, I have a video coming out soon, it's about the blocking of pipes and the performance of it, cleaning it in warm water and dry very well, for me I just love the Shark I just wished they made one that's maintaining free it's would be the best ever 😀😀 laters Steve

I hear you ! I use a flat head to gently pop off those tiny wheel suckers it takes 10 seconds (not too hard as not to damage the wheel just put the flat head tool under the wheel at an angle no on it). Make sure not to lose a tiny felt piece next to the insides of the wheels. Remove the hair manualy. Then I assemble it and use a small cross screw driver to make sure both the wheel clicks on both sides of the metal rod where the wheel is held. I empty the trash, then remove filters, then use an old toothbrush (cut the bristles short to get into tight spots)to take off most dirt. Then I gently scrub soapy water with my hand without immersing the whole dirt bucket thing. And let it air dry 24 hours.

Funny thing is all battery vacuums are around about the same, they are all plastic, the most expensive ones do have some more power and better build quality, but it's down to the price at the end of the day, for us we have Shark for quick cleaning for carpets, but for all the time we have a electric meile which walks over everything it's a old one, so basely it's down to how much you want to pay, now the shops are now all open, I would recommend going to John Lewis and test some out, in our store has at least 20 different vacuum cleaner for sale and to test out, best of luck 😀 laters Steve
