**UPDATE** it is ideal to clean cups 24 hours after use. The longer you leave resin the cups the harder it is to remove.

I have searched for a solution to this problem for so long. The google searches NEVER pull up the same problem I’ve been having. I can’t tell you how many tears I’ve shed during the HOURS of trying to get those tiny pieces off my mold & silicone cups. I almost threw everything away. I’m so thankful to have stumbled onto this video (by accident!!). Thank you!

I want help you on how to clean you hands when you have resin on them. Vinegar. Yes vinegar. Just rub it on. It will still feel weird. Like you didn’t get the resin off but give it about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Your hands will feel normal again. I’ve done this for a while because I am also new at resin but of all those times cleaning resin off my hands, Vinegar works. But like I said. It’s going to feel weird for a little bit longer after you wipe with vinegar but give it a little why and will feel hands again

Wow, I had just googled how to do this and after watching a few videos I wish I hadn't, I was lucky enough to find yours. Last night I removed my first glow in the dark pumpkin. I wish I had watched this first 😅 because water doesn't work, at all. I went to get some duck tape and any other tape I could grab and I was so relieved. I put my silicone mold under my uv lamp, so I can see the leftover glow and it started lifting right off. I can't thank you enough.

Thank you so much for making this video! I have been excited to use resin ever since I started seeing videos of it on youtube. It was fun to use and sticky, as expected. Because of the stickiness I assumed, wrongly, that it would be harder to clean if I didn't clean everything straight away. Before I saw your video I was thinking maybe resin isn't for me as I was struggling to get everything off. So thank you again for saving me so much wasted time and effort and making using resin fun again!

You can also use a silicone mat and turn your molds upside down on to it to drain most of the resins off the molds before letting it dry and they dry faster too.

What about using a lint roller? Will the glitter and dries resin mess up the sink? How do we clean the brushes and cups??
@ClairesCraftyCorner3 жыл бұрын
Heyyyy Lovely ... A lint roller might be tricky as it is a cylinder shape... Resin and glitter is Toxic to the water ways ... we do not want glitter getting in to the oceans xxx Its a tricky one ... because whichever way you do it ... there will be waste. Selloptape will create waste. Theat waste will go to Landfill .... but I would rather not put Glitter or Resin in to the Ocean. The best we can do is limit waste at all ... so scrape cups clean as much as you can xxxx Sorry I wrote such a big response lol xxxx

Claire, grab a popsicle stick or similar, snap it in 2 or 3, and use under the ends of your tape to stop it sticking down. I wonder if sticky lint rollers would work, too? But you could make your own with double sided tape on a stick. (Or ordinary tape, stuck around sticky side out).

Thank you for this. I have almost given up on these silicone cups. I may have had a badly mixed batch of resin but whatever reason, it is still sticky inside after a couple weeks sitting out. Is it still possible to clean or are they damaged now?
@ClairesCraftyCorner4 жыл бұрын
They're still sticky ? Oh gosh ... sounds like the mixture was for sure not right or something ... I dont even know apart from wiping them clean with wipes or alcohol wipes ? Maybe that might work ?
@debrajol35854 жыл бұрын
I know this comment is a while ago ✌️. When I have cups that are sticky .. usually from the measuring part A & part B.. after I stir my bigger cup where I pour A & B together & both are combined & it’s mixed up well, I pour a little bit of that back into the sticky cup and tilt it all around, scraping the sides and bottom and then let it cure. Then it’ll pop off just like it’s supposed to. Otherwise it’s alcohol on a cotton ball to the rescue.. but alcohol is hard to get lately, so wasting a tiny bit of resin works out- even if the sticky cup has been sitting for days. 😊

Is resin safe to touch with bare hands after it's been cured? Also once your resin creation been cured can you wash it with soap and water? Also do you need to seal all resin projects?

Hi, Resin is absolutely safe to touch with bare hands but always read the manufacturer guidelines. Yes you can wash it .. Best think would be a wipe with a damp cloth. No you do not need to seal the resin xxxxx
