Looking sharp. I like to pre treat with a little bit of dawn power wash. I also use the towel to ball inside the cap. I am worried about a plastic bag transferring ink.

Yeah I've used a towel before too! I didn't think about the ink transferring but I've never had that problem

On the black you can also use a black fabric marker to even it out..but it has to be a fabric marker or it's going to leave a purplish hue to it.

Thank you for this! I have a ton of hats and want them as clean as possible, but wasn’t sure the best way of cleaning them. Also, what do you do when you can’t find the exact hat you have on eBay or Google lens? How do you price them?
@_calebsells5 ай бұрын
I try to find the same brand, age, or similar design and price off that

I tried cleaning a hat once and used water, etc and the bill felt like mush after. Almost like wet cardboard that did not dry. It may have just been the type of hat. Did you notice any issues with the bill like soggy feeling?
@_calebsells5 ай бұрын
thats why I dunked them and scrubbed and didn't soak them in the water. didn't have any issues this time!

Watched a short that said you can throw them in the dishwasher on a cold cycle. I might give that a shot here soon.

I wanted to try that but I couldn’t bring myself to try it on expensive hats lol

Baking soda will take care of the yellowing I do it all the time...set it out in the sun it might need to be done twice depending how bad the yellowing is

yeah I didn't want to mess with it because if it got on the back part and sat in the sun it would fade
