Thanks for the video and the tips concerning the Microfiber cloths... But honoustly I also have a tip about the way you present this video. Please can you talk a little slower, or at least bring a little rest/pause between the sentences. You continue to talk without stopping, thats very annoying. Lately lots of youtubers do this.. mostly I quit the video if so. I see lots of informative video's but many dont stop talking without even a short break, like you're in a hurry to make the video... If you bring a little more stops/rest between a sentence and the next, it will be much more enjoyable to listen and watch. Thank you.

Fantastic idea to dampen in some vinegar prior to wash! Thanks for tip 👌. On another note, I spritz some vinegar on wool balls. I find towels smell lighter, cleaner.

Lint from the dryer balls? Use the plastic ones for Micro fibers. There is lanolin in wool.

we have a steam mop nubby clothe like yours, 1 got lost. have off white. though i cannot get the dirt stains out of it. it said dont machine wash after each use but even when i do. its still dingy. i did make mistake in using a lil bleach a couple times. ill have to try this. i never use fab softener in them though.

That stuff is incredible! We also use vinegar in the rinse cycle since we have very hard water. Everything is soft and all the soap rinses out, it's great!

Yikes! I just got a Bissell PowerFresh mop delivered today. Of course I had to use it right away, so I washed the pads after using. I don't use fabric softener on anything, but I did add a little bleach to the wash. Have I ruined the brand new pads? Thanks.

I know this doesn't have anything to do with this video but it does have to do with cleaning couchs. I bought a couch from an Indian couple and it smells like Curry how do I get that smell out? I tried steam cleaning it that did not work as well as planed. the smell even permeated my own clothes. any advice please and thank you.

I don't use fabric softener. I use a 1/4 or less of vinegar in the rinse cycle. We have very hard water, and that makes everything very soft. Any vinegar smell is gone after it dries. What about etowels? Do those count as microfiber?

The only thing I do differently is that I clean them in a “Guppy Friend bag” so that no microfibres are released into the water system. Good tips though. (See below where I explain about the Guppy Friend bag - I’m not sponsored, just someone aware of one of the issues of washing microfibre clothes).

@@hammadoolass sorry, I called it the wrong name. It’s called the “Guppy friend bag”. You can order it through Patagonia. It’s a bag in which I put all laundry that is made with polyesters or synthetic fibres - including microfibre clothes. Polyesters like microfibre rags, shed synthetic micro fibres of, basically, “plastics” that get into the waste water from laundry. The bag helps catch the micro fibres so that they don’t get into rivers, oceans, etc. You physically gather the tiny cluster of microfibres that are caught by the bag and throw them out yourself in a way that they don’t get into the water system and begin to harm micro organisms in our water-based food chain. The garments and microfibre clothes come out clean but much fewer microfibres get into the water system. I was amazed at how many fibres are shed off of microfibre clothes.

No. The microfibers in the microfiber cloth attract even tiny things and that's why they're so good for cleaning. If you wash them with regular towels they will pick up teeny tiny fibers from anything else washed with them. When you run your microfiber cloths through the dryer you should have nothing in your lint trap. Most other fabrics and towels will leave lint in the trap so if you wash them together your microfiber cloths will lose their efficacy. Trust me..I ruined my first ones this way. 😉

Speaking of cleaning the washer.. my washer has a 'spindle' in the middle with a thing to put fabric softener in. I've quit using liquid softener because that cup gets icky. I'd like to know how to clean out that cup & the rest of inside that 'spindle' (sorry, I don't know it's real name) under the cup.

I had the same problem, mine comes apart & I washed it with dish liquid and a scrubber, then I put it back together. Now when I use fabric softener, I put it in a downy ball that dispenses the softener. I'll never use the softener dispenser that's made into the agitator again.

Do not wash them with anything, especially cotton that lints, it will clog fibers in the microfiber!
