I'm an eBay seller and, people are SO brand conscious, and I think you could've charge a few dollars more and gotten the same quick sale, but, you're clearly not greedy and that also helps to sell products quickly. I must say, clean shoes are a must when doing resale. I've bought shoes where the insides were dirty to the point of unsanitary/gross and if the seller didn't show that in the photos or describe it in the text, I get busy with calling out the problem - and I return the item and insist that they pay shipping. As a longtime seller, I make sure my stuff is clean and any faults (aside from being pre-owned) accurately described with well lit pix and I also ship in clean but recycled packaging. Great job!

Nice video, thanks! I was watching another KZbin video where the seller used whitening toothpaste and a toothbrush successfully to get out remaining soil on white shoes that didn’t come out with soak/scrub cycles.

If you happen to have a vehicle, you can put them on the dashboard. Of course when you are Not driving. The window/ glass will Intensify the sun's rays.

Great video(s) Dalton! I'm learning a lot, and appreciate it all. Do you soak in cold, hot, or luke warm water?
@DealingWithDalton3 жыл бұрын
Appreciate that! Heat is the enemy of shoes. Can soften the glue and make the shoes fall apart. So anything but hot

Thanks Dalton!! Appreciate your time and knowledge cleaning white shoes, got a couple pair waiting for me. Too nice to leave in the Goodwill for $3.47 a pair 👍 Sweat equity is definitely worth it on some of these Nike’s! 44 seconds has to be a record sale!! Nicely done ✅

Yea if the insoles need cleaned, I’ll take those out after the shoes have been soaking and scrub them down while scrubbing the rest of the shoe

Y'all could try adding vinegar. It reacts with baking soda to make them a little bit cleaner

Good video. Deff going to try the container soak method. For those spots that didnt come off all the way i usually do some spot cleaning with L.A. Awesome and Peroxide then spot dry it with micro fiber towel. 👍

Nice work! I read somewhere that the dawn or dish soap possibly breaks down the glue on the shoes. Any thoughts on that?
@DealingWithDalton3 жыл бұрын
I have used dawn on probably hundreds of shoes now, all different materials and have never experienced that happening

@@DealingWithDalton So maybe it's about repetition. How often you use this tech on a pair? Or rather, to which shoe you applied it more times and how it looks now? Context: I washingmachined a pair of Adidas. First time, perfect, incredible. Second, same thing, at least to my very inexpert eye. Third, destruction. Materials losing consistency, and a literal hole. Remorse and lessons: too lazy. This seems for me :)
@linahill73413 жыл бұрын
Wow! You have a pretty serious shoe cleaning routine going and it seems to pay off. Do you launder the shirts you sell?

I don’t sell shirts, just shoes

You didn't show a close-up of the shoes afterwards. 😢 I personally am trying to learn on used cheer shoes. I mixed washing soda, white oxy, and Dawn dishes soap. As a paste dabad, then sprayed with hydrogen peroxide and diped the toothbrush in water when the paste was drying, put them out to the Sun to dry with the paste on them. I am not sure if I will be putting them in the washer, because I don't have a machine.
