Decent idea, have you tried lathering in hand sanitizer? How about an even older shoe where the rubber has kind of hardened up? Interesting method though, I can definitely see this mixture doing a bit of work, a little skeptical about shoes that have rubber that's even more aged though
@solesnsuds11 ай бұрын
The only problem with hand sanitizer is it does dry out the plastic or rubber quicker so it makes the shoe less durable over time. It’s a good quick fix but it shouldn’t be done all the time

Hey, I really enjoy watching your videos and this one was very helpful! I was just wondering if it is ok to wipe the traction of basketball shoes with lysol, the reason I'm asking is because I play on a really dusty court and wipe my shoes every 2-3 uses, but I'm not sure if repeated use of Lysol can damage the shoes? The traction is made of thick rubber but I'm still not sure if I should keep on using Lysol. Are there any other easy ways to wipe them and get back traction that is quick and easy? Thanks! (also to be specific, the shoes are way of wade 808 2 v2)
@solesnsuds Жыл бұрын
You can use Lysol once in a while if you need traction quick. It speeds up the wear of the shoe. If you are fine with that use it whenever but what Lysol does is it drys out the plastic so it breaks quicker. Every once in a while is fine
@wakanji9530 Жыл бұрын
@@solesnsuds Thanks for the reply! I'll refrain from using Lysol from now on but I have one more question. Is doing the method shown in the video ok to do after every 2-3 uses? Or will it also speed up any wear on the shoe? Thanks for replying!
