How To Clean Your Climbing Rope

Here are some tips you can follow for cleaning and maintaining your climbing rope.
Always use a rope tarp when climbing. Most rope bags include a tarp.
Rotate the climbing end of the rope.
Only use Rope Wash or non abrasive detergent to clean your rope. Harmful chemicals in laundry detergents may hinder the strength of the rope.
Once washed, do not dry the rope in direct sunlight. Shade and plenty of wind is all you need.
Regularly check your ropes for damaged/soft spots to ensure the rope is still in usable condition.
