Thank you so much for posting this! I just received a Coach handbag second-hand. This is my first time owning any designer purse, and though the bag itself is a lovely design, it's 1) very dirty (like... Really gross,) and 2) has an odor of moisture and perfume. I have it sitting in a sealed bag with a damp-rid package (to absorb any moisture) and baking soda (for odor,) but my next step is to clean the bag and I was perplexed on the best way to do so. This video has given me an affordable and easy way to get some of the grime out of this purse, so thank you so much for taking the time to film and explain your process! I was hesitant to use any method in articles because they don't show any physical examples of before and after, and I don't want to damage the purse any further. It's clearly been through enough already 😂

The store I went to didn't have the cleaner you used so I for the turtle wax brand auto carpet cleaner.... My old dingy WHITE coach purse (9 y/o) now looks brand new!!! I did have to use a softer scrub brush (other than the one that came with the can) and the can still feels full! Genius 👍

You can use either hand sanitizer (only clear) or alcohol for pen stains. Works for most clothes too. Nice video. I have lots of bags to work on.....🙂

Thank you for the toot... I did this on my coach it worked perfectly appreciate you putting this on here. If you spray alcohol liberally on the ink spots, take a toothbrush and then take your cloth and most of that will come out. I know I just did it and thanks again my purse looks fabulous. I would have never thought to use that cleaner on there but it sure works beautifully. Blessings and smiles from one Coach lover to another..

Great video! I have a very soiled Valentino handbag with a lot of leather trim. It's yellow fabric with a bow so I'm worried about the leather bleeding. I'm going to tape the leather as well as be very careful when I use the cleaner. Can't wait to get this done!

I would put painters tape on leather and hardware. Gloves a must. A soft toothbrush on tough stains & rubbing alcohol on pen marks. But still a good video. Going to try out on my run of the mill un-designer purses. Lol

I'm lazy. I would have just submerged the bag in warm water with Blue Dawn dishwashing liquid, gently scrubbed with a nail brush, let air dry and then used leather conditioner on the leather parts. But you did a great job and the bag looks great.👍

I used alcohol on my new botkier purse to remove an ink stain. It removed the ink, but also removed the shiny finish on the bag. It now appears like a lighter dull raw leather spot. Does anyone know what to use to touch up the area to add the shine back?

There's a pen mark on the purse and I have to clean it because I am giving it to my granddaughter for her sixth birthday Thursday. No party, no fun,so I'm trying take her feel special.

This was an awesome video! I usually go to the Coach store and buy bottles of cleaners. I try very had not to let my bags get too dirty before cleaning them, which means cleaning them often. If you bought the store's cleaners then you know those can be pricey. This is a wonderful alternative and I will definitely try it! Thank you again!

Hi Kahlyopi, Thank you for contacting me. Actually, no, I haven't tried this yet. I had already purchased a couple bottles of the cleaner from Coach so I still have a bit left. Because I have so many purses, I don't carry one for long before I switch up to a different purse. Or, if I am wearing a particular color, I change my purse to match.
