How To Clean Your Dryer | Fire Prevention

In this video, I show how easy it can be to clean out your dryer and dryer vents. All you really need is a dryer cleaning kit which I got from Home Depot for $20, a screwdriver, some clamps, and some dryer tape which I got from Home Depot for about seven dollars.

I've never had my ductwork cleaned on my dryer. I've lived in this house for 8 years. I will clean this before I dry another load of laundry. Thank you for this video.

How do I know where my vent leads to?

The run usually can’t be too long. Look in the close proximity of the dryer outside of your house. Doesn’t hurt to run it while you’re looking for it!
